The chairman of Konya Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Selçuk Öztürk, has introduced “2023: Konya İnternational Exhibition Center” at a press conference which was organized in Konya Chamber of Commerce İnternational Fair Center.

The chairman has announced the details of the project in his presentation:

2023: Konya Fair Center project is based on our three phase plan. As the first phase; with a total of 86,000 m² area (66,000 m² covered and 20,000 m² open) we have brought the fair center into Anatolia’s largest and Turkey’s 3rd largest exhibition center.

We are targeting 400 thousand visitors at the Agricultural Fair which will be held in 2015. With this number, one of the three largest trade centers will be held in Konya. Herewith the biggest step will be taken to the “2023: Konya İnternational Exhibition Center” goal.

İt is not a dream if we say that Konya will be the center of exhibitions in 2023, it is a goal we can easily achieve. Our second phase plan to achieve this goal is to make at least 6 fairs and the entire 6 halls of each fair center will be filled. In addition, we also aim to completely fill at least 4 halls of each 4 fairs we will build. We aim to reach at least of 2 million visitors in 2017. We are working on our project fort his goal.

Our third phase to work on our goal with the project “2023: Konya Exhibition Center” is; to continue our work with the project to increase our current fair center halls from 6 to 12 halls. With this project we expect to have a total of 212,000 m² (132,000 m² covered and 80,000 m² open area) exhibition area and 19,000 m² walking area. Konya Exhibition Center will be the largest fair center of Turkey.

This quality of fair center will make Konya main city for fair center of Turkey in 2023.
Every fair center will make a gain of 30 million TL to the economy of Konya by earnings of international brand fairs. Our fair centers will also give and opportunity to the sectors of our city to open the gates to the foreign countries.
